Professional Experience

Technical Production, Richter Brothers Studios, Chicago, IL
2006-Present

Currently employed at Chicago multimedia house Richter Brothers Studios as a technical programming engineer and production artist. Job responsibilities involved developing code for interactive presentations and web sites. Involved in production work on Rozerem, Kerry Americas, Amgen, and Skender Construction. Other tasks included video editing, audio recording/engineering, and 3D graphic visualizations for arbitration.

Videographer/Editor, Starshowz, Auburn Hills, MI
2005

Working freelance for Starshowz party services, I immediately proved myself valuable as an editor and camera operator. Shooting ceremonies and celebrations, and editing promotional materials were an enjoyable way to put my talents to use. I left this studio in excellent standing to pursue full time employment in Chicago.

VJ'ing/Visualizations, Underground Resistance/KMS/Ken Ishii, Detroit, MI
2005

A crowning achievement. Performed a live mix of animation for world class DJ’s at official Fuse-In (better known colloquially as DEMF) events. VJ’ing is an infant form of storytelling that is stretching the boundaries of motion picture art. I remain in good standing with Mike Banks and crew.

Independant Animation/Video Projects, Underground Resistance/Red Planet, Detroit, MI
2004-2005

Created video and animation projects for "VJ's," (video DJ’s performing a real-time video composite/mix show) for use at the 2005 Fuse-In international electronic music festival in Detroit. Later this appeared on the jumbotron for their Japanese tour for a crowd of over 30,000 people. The idea was to move their VJ’s away from the “screen saver” approach and toward visual storytelling.

IT and A/V Center Proctor, College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI
2004-2005

Campus-wide management of A/V equipment. Basic IT and lab maintenance functions. I gained a working knowledge of various media formats, and how to translate from one to another. Responsibilities included equipment management, media conversions, green screen studio proctoring, and general help with media and animation questions for students and faculty.

3D Animator/Programmer, Blue Lobster Multimedia Productions/Cyber Image, Lansing, MI
1999-2002

For two and a half years after earning my associate’s degree, I worked as a new media artist at two multimedia houses in the Lansing area: Blue Lobster and Cyber Image. I participated in the creation of numerous award-winning, interactive educational and marketing presentations. Clientele included mainly industrial companies such as Leviton, and local businesses in need of basic video spots or presentations.

Community/School Service

ACM Siggraph CCS Student Chapter Board, College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI
2003-2005

Involved extensively with ACM’s Siggraph Detroit Student Chapter as webmaster during my Junior year, and later as chairperson during my Senior year.
