A short film created ostensibly as a Detroit "City Symphony" shot entirely through reflected images. In the same vein as many traditional City Symphony films, it portrays a feeling of being in Detroit, what it's landscape looks like. Ultimately however, it is a very personal discussion of perception, reality, and communication, in relation to Babel. |

Better known colloquially as "DJ Night." Perhaps one of the most successful, attended, talked about DJ Nights in CCS' history, due in no small part to an aggressive advertising campaign. The cafeteria was filled with projections from 3 sources, two filling the windows and showing outside and one projecting on to me and the wall behind me, as I played a selection of house, techno, acid jazz, drum & bass, and electro.
This was a partially a study of compositing and blending modes, partially a showcase of my senior animations and films, partially a study of abstract film and animation. And it is entirely personal.
This is a small excerpt of the sights and sounds of that night. |
